Polli Collection is crisp and quiet, inspired by the unique qualities of fine, unglazed porcelain, pure Japanese design, and 3D modelling of 90s video games. The collection was born while I was working on a previous project, the Ailer coffee and tea set. The tactile feel of the unglazed fine porcelain is a unique quality less known in the western world. This natural sensation makes you want to touch and hold the pieces, creating a closer, intimate connection compared to shiny, glazed cups and bowls. Polli is made of colored casted porcelain, fired to very high temperature. This results in has almost no water absorption, so the pieces are food safe, can be easily cleaned in dishwasher and used in microwave.

The prototype won an honorable mention at the Drink This! International Cup Show in Washington DC, the pieces got featured in numerous exhibitions such as the London and Budapest Design Fair. Each set is carefully handmade to your order.
